Creating a beautiful and intentional morning routine is a powerful way to look after your health, start the day right, and spend a few minutes doing things that make you feel amazing.
A morning routine can include many things, but as a busy mum with two kids and now two businesses, I need to be very selective and intentional about how I spend this time.
I recently created a new morning routine for spring, and it's quickly become a favourite time for me before the house wakes up. I hope sharing my morning routine inspires you to create your own wellness morning, whether it's 10 minutes to meditate before the kids wake up or 2 hours to do all your favourite things in peace. The choice is yours.
Renee's Spring Morning Routine
5.25 am – Wake up and get dressed
5.30 am – Have a few sips of my warm lemon water that I make the night before and keep on the counter in a thermos so it's hot
5.30 am Pilates/ Yoga Flow for 20-30 minutes. I adore Melissa Wood Heath for this.
6 am – Meditation for 20 minutes. I do a form of Vedic meditation and love the silence.
6.20 am – I have a scoop of greens in water before I open the doors onto our side deck and jump on our rebounder trampoline with my headphones on for 10 minutes.
6.30 am – The kids wake up now, so it's cuddles, then dry body brushing my whole body before I jump in the shower
7 am – I make another lemon water or drink a glass of water (I hydrate a lot in the mornings), and I have this while I make everyone breakfast. I love rotating between my Beauty Bircher or Little Bird Organics Vanilla Protein Shake.
7.30 am – Family breakfast at the table before it's time to make lunches/ get everyone ready for the day
8 am – I end my morning routine with a High Vibe Matcha on the deck with my husband to get that morning sunshine and have a few minutes together to catch up before it all go.
That's my morning routine. It's busy, but it feels amazing, and I manage to pack in a lot of my favourite wellness rituals into a small window of time. You don't have to do the same as me, but if 1-2 of these practices interest you, then I suggest giving them a go and building from there.
